Abstract

Autoimmune polyglandular syndrome (APS) is a disease associated with insufficiency of two or more endocrine glands due to an autoimmune lesion. Taking into account the likely development of APS in patients with any existing autoimmune disease, since 2021, the Department of Endocrinology of the KKBSMP State Medical University has conducted an examination of hospitalized patients to exclude APS. When analyzing the data obtained, it was found that women are 6 times more susceptible to the development of autoimmune diseases.
Due to the fact that combined diseases of the endocrine glands are rarely found in the practice of an endocrinologist, an analysis of clinical cases demonstrates the importance of awareness of this pathology and conducting a complete examination of the patient using laboratory and instrumental research methods, timely diagnosis, and prescribe adequate treatment aimed at improving the patient's condition and full recovery. 3182 patient medical records were analyzed.
