Abstract

The HIV epidemic continues to be one of the most pressing problems of our time, which is a global disaster, one of the most significant challenges to the development, progress and stability of our societies and the world as a whole, and requires the adoption of emergency and comprehensive global response measures. The development of preventive directions in the system of medical and pharmaceutical prevention is currently extremely relevant in solving the problem of HIV infection.
The aim of the study – study of modern approaches to medical and pharmaceutical prevention of HIV infection.
Materials and methods. Scientific approaches were used as research methods: regional, systemic, structural and functional; methods: historical, logical, content analysis, sociological, statistical, modeling, etc.
The results and their discussion. HIV prevention is an important task that requires the joint efforts of society and each individual. Taking precautions and being responsible for your health will help reduce the risk of contracting and spreading HIV infection. In the modern world, the problem of the spread of HIV infection remains urgent and requires an integrated approach to its solution. Pharmaceutical organizations play an important role in the development and production of drugs for the treatment of HIV infection that can help prevent the spread of the virus.
It should be emphasized that all preventive measures aimed at preventing the occurrence and spread of HIV infection are developed and approved by standard operating procedures (SOP) for medical and pharmaceutical workers, taking into account the functions defined by professional standards, in order to improve the quality of specialized pharmaceutical care (SPP) for the population with socially significant diseases.
Depending on the stage of the intervention, there are three levels of HIV prevention. Medical and pharmaceutical measures aimed at reducing HIV infection and improving public health should be based on primary prevention measures (prevention of the development of the disease, aimed at the general population and aimed at minimizing the impact of risk factors) and secondary (maximally early diagnosis of the disease and counseling of infected people in order to prevent infection of others) prevention. Tertiary prevention includes measures aimed at preventing the progression of the disease and the development of its complications. It includes the treatment and rehabilitation of people living with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV), social support for patients and their families.
Conclusion. Thus, the enormous preventive potential of medicines is not always used in public health, depriving society of this important resource. Pharmacy, being a socially responsible activity, should have a convincing methodological basis for solving not only therapeutic, but also preventive tasks in the treatment of HIV infection. The development of a methodology for the implementation of a preventive concept in the organization of pharmaceutical activities is now particularly relevant in the prevention of HIV infection.
