COMPARATIVE EVALUATION OF THE CLINICAL EFFECTIVENESS OF THE CHRONIC ENDOMETRITIS TREATMENT BY KARACHI-LAKE PELOIDS

Abstract
The goal – to study the effectiveness of the therapeutic effects of Karachi-lake peloids in women with chronic endometritis (CE).
Material and methods. 240 women of reproductive age (27,0 ± 2,9 years) with morphologically verified CE and impaired reproductive function were examined and treated. The first group (108 women) received standard rehabilitation therapy (according to the Russian Ministry of Health order from 24.12.2012, № 1502н); the second group (132 women) were treated by combination of standard rehabilitation therapy and complex mud applications on the lower half of the body in a spa treatment at Karachi-lake.
Results. After treatment it was revealed down-regulation of clinical manifestations of chronic inflammation in the endometrium of patients of both groups. Complex treatment was characterised by more prominent regression of inflammation: pelvic pain remained only in 4,2 % of patients in the second group compared with the first one – 13,8 % (p < 0,0001). Normalization of menstrual function after treatment with peloids was observed in 89 women (66,6 %), while conventional therapy – in 33 patients (29,6 %) (p < 0,011).
Conclusions: It justifies the use of a new approach to the treatment of CE patients with peloids in spa Karachi-lake. The clinical efficacy of treatment of patients with CE by peloids of Karachi-lake appears to have more pronounced positive results than with standard rehabilitation scheme, namely the reduction of the frequency and intensity of abdominal pain and pain in lumbosacral area, also dyspareunia, dysmenorrhea frequency decrease, and libido increase.
