The journal "Mother and Baby in Kuzbass" provides immediate open access to its content, based on the following principle: "free open access to research results promotes global knowledge sharing." This means readers have permanent, free access to individual articles and all published issues of the journal, including reading, copying, printing, and posting on other electronic resources, including the internet, without the need for prior consent from the authors and publisher, provided authorship is indicated and a link to the source is provided.

Anti-plagiarism Policy

The editorial board of the journal "Mother and Baby in Kuzbass" opposes plagiarism in scientific research and articles and therefore strives to prevent:
- citing any materials without attribution, including texts, images, drawings, photographs, tables, graphs, diagrams, and other forms of information presentation, in any volume;
- using materials without written permission whose authors or copyright holders prohibit the use of their materials without consent;
- compiling (creating works based on other people's research or works), i.e., excessive citations, even when properly formatted. The permissible citation volume, as established by the editors, is no more than 30% of the total article length. If, in the author's opinion, an article requires more citations, such cases are considered by the editors on a case-by-case basis;
- publishing articles whose content is fully consistent with the author's other scientific materials (dissertations, author's abstracts, monographs, etc.). All articles are checked using the Antiplagiat system before publication in the journal. In some cases, the editors may conduct a more detailed check and engage additional tools and experts to detect plagiarism.
The editorial board of the journal "Mother and Baby in Kuzbass" strongly discourages authors from using any technical methods designed to enhance their author's contribution. The editorial staff has sufficient knowledge, technical expertise, and methodological know-how to detect such techniques. Articles that show signs of technical modifications designed to artificially enhance the uniqueness of the text will not be published, even if revised. The editors will notify the reviewer and the leadership of the educational or scientific institution where the author works or studies of the use of any technical methods designed to enhance the text's score in plagiarism detection systems.

Policy on retracting publications and making corrections to published materials

 The editorial board of the journal "Mother and Baby in Kuzbass" may decide to withdraw an article (retract) or make corrections to already published materials in the following cases:
1. If an author(s) discovers errors or inaccuracies in a published material, they should send a corresponding request to the journal's editorial office.
2. If a reader or other person suspects that the author(s) has violated the norms of publication ethics, or in the following cases:
- detection of plagiarism in an article, including detection of borrowed drawings, graphs, tables, etc., if the fact of plagiarism became obvious after the article was published;
- claims for copyright of the article or its separate parts from third parties;
- detection of the fact of publication of the article in another publication before the date of its publication in the journal "Mother and Baby in Kuzbass";
- presence in the published article of serious errors that call into question its scientific value,
contacts the editorial office with a description of the identified violations.

In this case, the editorial board of the journal, together with the editorial board of the journal, initiates a review of the appeal.
As a result of the review, a conclusion is prepared on the validity of the provisions specified in the appeal.
As a result of the review, the article may be withdrawn from publication, or the necessary corrections may be made to the article.
In the case of withdrawal of the article, an act on the withdrawal of the article from publication is drawn up, which is signed by the editor-in-chief. A copy of the act is sent to the author of the article, who is responsible for correspondence with the editorial office. However, the article is not physically removed from the published edition or the issue file on the website. The editorial board publishes a statement about the withdrawal of an article on the issue content page on the official website of the journal.
The editorial board of the journal carefully and responsibly considers all reasonable appeals regarding the violations found in the published materials.
The editorial board considers it the duty of the authors and the reviewer to inform the editorial board as quickly as possible about the errors and violations they have identified after the article has been published.
