Abstract
Objective – to evaluate the effectiveness of pelvic floor muscle training using Kegel exercises in the treatment of grade 1-2 pelvic organ prolapse in postmenopausal women.
The results of a retrospective study of 94 patients showed that 12 months of regular pelvic floor muscle training using Kegel exercises did not reduce the intensity of clinical symptoms of the disease.
The results obtained justify the creation of new pelvic floor muscle training techniques for the treatment of pelvic organ prolapse in patients of this age group.
